hey there... its been a long time...

So... what can I say, I'm a slacker when it comes to blogging. We've been pretty busy here in VA. Ava is getting so BIG! Today we were walking up the stairs ans she pointed to the light and said "lie" then I put strawberries on her tray and she said "sasassies"! I am pretty excited! She is also WALKING! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. We went to the doctor on Tuesday and drum roll please... Ava is 28 inches tall (65th percentile) and 20 pounds (70th percentile)and her head in 18" (90th percentile). Her doctor is actually the ped. i went to when i was a kid so thats fun. He gave her a hot pink beanie baby flamingo! Its pretty cute and she loves it! He also said that the way she goes from sitting to standing is a 15 month bench mark so shes doing quite well! I'm pretty proud if you couldn't tell.

So lets back things up a little. EASTER was lots of fun! Mimi and Pappy got the Orton family chickens and the kids were super excited! Ava got clothes and a toy bunny. We had lots of fum with the family and every one it was really great!

We also recently went to the national aquarium in Baltimore and Ava really loved the dolphins. Earlier that week and the week before some of the dolphins had given birth so that was really neat. Ava also liked the sharks a lot.

Ava loves all of the summer food that is in season, she is especially loving the water melon... it is pretty yummy!

 oh and my farmers market is pretty fun too! Not a money maker but we do have lots of fun and are really enjoying the people we have met!

Busy Busy... kinda

So Jonny and them stayed with us for a week and a half. It was lots of fun, Ava loves both of them its pretty cute! We went to museums and tho zoo and monuments and lots of stuff! We had a ton of fun playing Wii. Ava even played! It was great! Mandan and Jonny really liked seeing all the stuff in DC. Its so fun to be reminded that we live in a cool place. Oh yeah and we all like Mandan... I guess.

Other than that we haven't really done much lately. We've just been hanging out and spending time getting stuff ready for the farmers market on the 30th. I'm excited to get to selling and to get some yummy fresh organics this summer! I think my little strawberry eater will love it!

A week of firsts!

We started our week at the Zoo with Kim and Matthew, the little boy Kimmy nannys for. It was great! She loved the cow! He was mooing and she thought it was hilarious! She was laughing so hard she wasn't even making a sound any more. It was so funny! She also liked the elephant and the prairie dogs. There were also lion cubs! They were so cute. They were playing with each other and it was so fun!

Georgetown Cupcake!!! Probably Ava's favorite! Pappy gave her some chocolate to the 3rd and then some vanilla birthday cake. It was delish!

Lunch at Mario's. So shes not quite ready for a lefty special with extra slaw like I prefer but she did love the pizza!

So Saturday night the moon was closer to the earth than it has been in 20 or 30 years so what better place to go than to the mall! We went to the Lincoln and took pictures on the stairs! It was really fun. Jeanie and Jeff came with, we love them! It was a really fun family outing! It was Ava's first time in a memorial, her first time she saw them was when Grandpa Dan was here in December, we can't wait to see G &G Roberts this summer!

This next week we look forward to Mandan and Johnny coming to see Bekah. They are staying for the week and we plan to do lots of sight seeing with them! It should be great!

Play Dates

So every day Ava has 3 standing play dates. She starts her morning out with her standing Pappy Play Date (probably her favorite... or at least in her top 3). She and Pappy play with her toys as I feed her breakfast. She is however, far more interested in Pappy than in her breakfast.

Her next play date is with Gus. This play date usually lasts most of the day or at least when ever she is on the floor. Ava and Gus share his chew toys, she likes it more than he. Gus usually brings her one of his toys with the expectation that she will throw it so that he can retrieve it but she obviously has never obliged.

Her third standing play date is in the evening with her Daddy. She loves being tossed into the air by her Daddy! She laughs and screams and just loves it! She also loves kisses from her Daddy. She also loves it when David rolls her over using his head... she thinks its the funniest!

Her favorite book right now is Baby Boo! The last page is a mirror and she loves it!

This week she also had a play date with Miss Mia and Miss Sofia! She had so much fun rolling around with them. She hasn't quite gotten how to play with people her own age yet but one day! Right now she just wants to pull their hair... especially Sofia's because she has so much of it!

Also this week I started running again... its going. I've also been working on my stuff for the farmers market. I was wrong about the start date of the farmers market, thank goodness! It starts April 30! We are really looking forward to this summer! Its starting to look like spring here. The crocus is blooming and we are having a warm rain this morning. David has really been working hard and he loves his job!

This Week...

So Andrew leaves tomorrow for his mission and we are so excited for him! Ava is going to miss her favorite Andrew a lot, they're buds!

Also this week I am getting every thing ready for my farmers market that starts March 30 in Richmond! I'm pretty excited but i have 49 aprons 50 bloomers and a million bows and flowers to make. YIKES!!! Thank goodness for my family!

Ava is a strawberryaholic! Serious if she could thats all she would eat... and ice cream!

So she gets a lot of baths! Shes the cutest!

The latest

So my little darling is officially crawling and she has 2 teeth! I can't believe she was born 6 months ago. Bekah is home now and Ava is loving having her auntie! She loves to spend time with her. Ava has two favorite foods these days, organic apple bran muffins and ice cream.... she is so my child!
