Long time no blog...

Summer

Ok so I'm obviously not very good at keeping blogs up to date. This summer was pretty fun though so here goes. Ava and I spent 3 fun weeks in Oregon with the Roberts clan and it was great! We went to the water park, D lake, the coast, went to the zoo, lots of farmers markets, the yam hill county fair, ava's first concert, spent lots of time with family, celebrated Ava's first birthday and tons more! It was a blast.

We celebrated Ava's birthday again in VA with the O'Connor clan too between vacations. It was pretty fun... looks like Ava already has a clothing addiction like the rest of us O'Connor ladies!

Then there was the earth quake... it was weird. Ava kim and I were at Costco and we felt it and i was like "Huh... that was weird..." people were running for the doors, things were falling off shelves, the refrigerates were shaking like crazy then david texted me and and asked if we were ok and i was like he is so weird why wouldn't we be ok. Then like a half an hour later Kim said something about the earth quake and was like what earth quake... she said "the one we just had... remember...." and I was like "oh! thats what that was!" A 5.8 earthquake and i didnt know what it was... thats me!

Then Nattie and Payton got here! They were hanging out for a few days before they went down to Buena Vista for school. It was so good to have them here for a few days.

We then went to the beach... it was delayed by a few days because of the hurricane. It ended up being really fun! Melissa and her family were there Eli came with Sofia and the Hansen's were there too. It was a blast! Oh except for the tractors moving 3 foot pipe up and down the beach all of the time. While we were there David, Dad, Matt and our friend Alan went deep sea fishing. David caught a big mahi and matt caught a big wahoo. YUM! Ava learned how to jump into the pool and she loved doing it! We think she will be a swimmer. It was really fun!

Now we are getting lots of rain... school was closed today because of the flooding. So apart from the natural disasters we had a great summer! (ok, so it took me a couple of days to actually post this and the weather is beautiful so far today!)
